TRAVEL TIPS: WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW BEFORE YOU MAKE THAT INTERNATIONAL TRIPS

My unforgettable trip to the USA with my 5-year-old daughter. I was then seven
months pregnant with my son. I was excited to see my mother after many years in
Angola.
Even my daughter was eager to see her grandma for the first time. She resides in
Chicago.
We were busy making arrangements to travel when tragedy struck: my sister in-law,
who was very close to me took ill and eventually died. I was devastated as we were
very close She was very kind to me, and we were very fond each other. After her

burial, I proceeded on my American trip. I booked a longer than usual flight and
landed on transit at Queen Alia International Airport, Jordan. After much delay, we
arrived at O’Hare International Airport. The trip did not go as planned, but the most
important thing is safety. No matter the bump on the way, try to be calm in every
situation

.
Always plan for delays and try not to get upset when things inevitably go wrong.
Patience is extremely important when traveling!
I have had my share of international travels, especially as a first timer. I made my
first international trip in 2005, during my third year in the higher institution. I was
newly married at that time, and my husband invited me over for long vacation. I had
issues on arrival at Angolan International Airport, and I was refused entry, despite
having an original visa. Luckily for me, I took a flight to Congo, and stopped over at a
close family friend’s, where my husband joined me, and we had to spend an extra
week making another travel arrangement, before being granted successful entry into
the city of Luanda.
Though it was not a cool experience, my husband and I used it as an opportunity to
enjoy ourselves, and we had the best moment of our lives at a five-star hotel in
Congo.
Like they say, every disappointment is a blessing in disguise.
Make a List
About a week to each trip, I make a mental list of items I don’t want to forget, and
then go ahead to write them down. I’ve learned that when something occurs to me, I
need to write it down.
