Nigerian lady, Ifeyinwa Ezeudu becomes Doctor, Pharmacist years after she was told Girl Child can’t achieve such.
A beautiful Nigerian lady, Ifeyinwa Ezeudu, has put doubters to shame after she achieved the dream of becoming a doctor and a pharmacist, years ago after a family friend said there was no room for a girl child in such professions.
According to Ifeyinwa, when she was 14 years old, a family member asked her what she would like to become, she replied “pharmacist and a medical doctor”.
The person discouraged her, saying such professions are not meant for the Nigerian girl child. Ifeyinwa said those words challenged her as she promised herself to achieve her dream no matter what.
Imagine discouraging a fourteen years old girl, simply because she is a girl child.
After her diploma in science laboratory technology.
She proceeded for pharmacy and graduated as the best in my class and school as well, not just a valedictorian but also the first international student to give that speech in over 66 years of her school’s existence.
She didn’t feel fulfilled,
She went further to complete her medical degree, achieved a lot of academic excellence award in the process.
Today she is not just a pharmacist and medical doctor ,she is also a laboratory technician.
She is currently exploring weight management
program(Fluxy)an area of medicine she find so exciting.
She urges a “girl child”reading this post,to be unstoppable. Dream ,work towards it and someday you will happy you did.
